About Us

Opus 44 Publications is a small, family business which has quietly been serving the music community in Scotland for over 30 years.

Our mission has been to make available the varied and popular compositional output of Michael Philip, who has spent his professional life in music education and community music-making.

From the classroom to the concert stage, and from music exams to broadcasts and international performances, this music has been enjoyed by those who know about it.  Now you know about it too!

Q.  Why 'Opus 44'? 

A.  It was simply the number on the door of Michael's home address, years ago: but there are some famous classical works which are their composers' respective Op.44 - can you think of any?
